Masquerades began in 2004, when Karen moved to Northill and was asked if she could assist with the village pantomime.  That first set of children then wanted more and so Karen started a small drama class on a Saturday morning.  In 20, quite amazing years, the group has grown beyond all our dreams.  Each year we seem to be asked to add a different class to our timetable, and within days the class is filled.  We are not a school that focuses primarily on exam work, we prefer getting in front of a live audience, in fact all our students are thriving because we create and perform two unique shows a year !!!!

This lively and caring environment is producing creative and caring individuals.  Students who love the team work and commit wholeheartedly to each other.  In the last few years we have been blessed with students who have gone on to study the performing arts and we delight at the progress they are making.

Here at Masquerades we try to keep the costs as low as possible.  The performing arts can be elitist and to support this we have begun hiring out our costumes and props – monies that then go directly to support Masquerades students.
